On January 6, 2020, N8210G high-power pure natural gas engine independently developed by Ningbo C.S.I. ignites and operates successfully.

Natural gas, as the third largest energy source in the world after coal and oil, has rich resources, low emission pollution and high cost performance. It is playing an increasingly important role. N8210G pure natural gas engine adopts the technology of large flow multi-points injection of gas and spark plug ignition of pre combustion chamber, equipped with self-developed marine engine integrated monitoring system. Power of the first prototype is 1200kW. It is a new generation of gas engine product independently developed by Ningbo C.S.I., which can be used for propulsion of LNG powered ship, power generation and land gas generator set.

Ningbo C.S.I. has a provincial key enterprise Research Institute - C.S.I. Marine Power Research Institute. With the help of the industry university research cooperation platform, it has continuously developed medium speed and high power engine technology and products. The "research and industrialization of key technologies of high power and medium speed marine diesel engine" project,which was undertaken by Ningbo C.S.I. as the first accomplisher, has won the second prize of national science and technology progress. As early as 2009, our company began to research and develop multi fuels engine technology, and undertook the national 12th Five Years Plan for science and technology support projects. Related products are widely used in the land power station market. In 2015, our company obtained the CCS (China Classification Society) approval certificate of DF6210 marine dual-fuel engine, which is the first certificate of marine dual fuel-engine in China after the release of the new CCS specification for natural gas fuel powered ships. The company's current dual-fuel products include DF210, DF170, DF300, DF320, DF330, DF340 and other series to meet different power needs. N8210G will radiate to all models after successful research and development, marking that Ningbo C.S.I. has entered the market of high-power pure natural gas engine, greatly expanding the product range of high-power gas engine, and will vigorously promote the application of marine market and power generation market in the future.
