The Technology Development Department adjusted engine structure on the N8170 diesel engine, which is different from the traditional engine structure where the crankshaft is mounting the engine base. For N8170 engine, the crankshaft is redesigned as a suspension mounting mode (overhung crankshaft structure) with the crankshaft bolted to the engine body through the bearing covers. At the same time, the engine parts and components, and configuration have been perfected.
