Ignition, cutting! At 4:00 p.m. on June 10 in the numerically-controlled cutting workshop of Zhoushan Hetai Ship Repair and Construction Co., Ltd. in Daishan, with a piece of steel plate being cut, it means that the first fuel supply ship of "Zhoushan Ship Type" in Zhejiang Free Trade Test Zone was officially started to build.

The reason why the ship was called the first ship of "Zhoushan Ship Type" was that it was the first ship specially designed and built by Zhoushan and was the first ship specially designed for fuel oil supply in the whole country, according to general manager of Zhoushan Runji Maritime Transport Co., Ltd. Wang Zhimin’ introdution. Runji Maritime Company finally decided to choose G8300 engine of Ningbo C.S.I. as the main engine after many times of investigations.

Designed by Zhejiang Xinhai Ship Design Institute, the ship has a total length of 96 meters, a width of 16 meters, a depth of 7 meters, a tail-thrown lifeboat and a bow retraction. All selected equipments are higher than other ship types’ standards. It is reported that the ship refers to the characteristics of oil supply vessels in Singapore, the Netherlands and other international refueling ports, and combines with the reality of Zhoushan, with a single engine plus the first side push device and the latest imported digital mass flowmeter, so that the ship can be further guaranteed in navigation, fuel supply safety, accurate measurement and other aspects. Industry insiders said that after the completion of the ship, it can not only effectively improve the hardware facilities of Zhoushan Marine Fuel Oil Supply, improve the oil supply logistics system, and further enhance the comprehensive competitiveness of Zhoushan Port.

By virtue of extremely low oil consumption and long service life of cylinder liner, C.S.I. Ningdong brand engine successfully entered the market, which laid a good foundation for the follow-up continuous expansion of fuel supply vessel market.
